EFILive V4 is designed for OBDI vehicles (Pre 1996) and most non-Chevy V8 and V6 Holden Commodores. These vehicles connect to a laptop computer via the ALDL (Assembly Line Diagnostic Link) connector.

The Scan Tool software is fully configurable to support 99% of GM’s OBDI/ALDL based vehicles, at both 8192 baud and 160 baud.

Get a FREE copy of EFILive V4 Professional. All you need to do is to create a vehicle definition that is not already in this vehicle definition list and email it to support@efilive.com. The vehicle definition must meet some basic requirements:

• The communication timings must be configured correctly.
• The chatter and heartbeat settings must be correct.
• The vehicle information should be completed (if the details are known).
• A request must be defined that returns table $00. All attributes from table $00 must be defined.
• For each defined attribute the correct attribute type and scaling formula must be defined.
• If the diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs) are not returned in table $00 then a second request must be defined which does return the table containing the DTCs.
• The dashboard should be configured to display as much relevant information as is practical with the evaluation version.
• The charts should be configured to display as much relevant information as is practical with the evaluation version.
