The release of FlashScan V2 brings new and more importantly, cost effective, unlimited tuning for high volume tuners. Previously, to obtain unlimited tuning required a substantial investment in EFILive’s flagship FlashScan V1 Workshop package. It became obvious very quickly that some specialty workshops did not need unlimited tuning for all vehicles supported by EFILive and would prefer not to have to purchase unlimited tuning for vehicles they may only tune once or twice per year.

For example, some Corvette specialty shops may never tune a Duramax diesel and some Duramax shops may never tune a gas engine. So it made sense to split the FlashScan Workshop package into what we call streams.

Now workshops can pick ‘n’ choose only those streams that are right for their business.

Streams can be added to the FlashScan V2 cable at any time and generous discounts are offered for purchasing multiple streams. Together with VIN License based stream discounts, adding streams to the FlashScan V2 cable is the most cost effective way for any tuner to achieve unlimited tuning.

All streams have unlimited use of the EFILive ECM/PCM custom operating systems, inluding 99+ LS1 2 or 3 bar & N2O, LS2 (E40) 2bar, LB7 & LLY DSP2 / DSP5.

Feedback and requests from current workshops has seen the introduction of controller- based streams. Not only can you pick ‘n’ choose vehicle streams, with FlashScan V2, you can also pick ‘n’ choose engine and/or transmission streams. If your business does not require transmission tuning, you don’t pay for it. Or, if you own a transmission business and you don’t tune engines, you only pay for the transmission support.

You don’t need a crystal ball either. If you are unsure of all streams that you might need, just purchase the streams you know you need, and then use one-off VIN Licenses to tune any vehicles that are not covered by those streams. You can use 80% of the cost those VIN Licenses (i.e. $79.20) as discounts against future stream purchases (up to a total of 50% per stream order). That means VIN Licenses effectively only cost $19.80 per vehicle. Each VIN License (or PCM License) may only be used once to obtain a discount when purchasing streams.
